Benjamin Charles Parker Killed Five People and Five Animals Before Taking His Own Life in Oregon
Benjamin Charles Parker, a 36-year-old man, was found dead after killing five people and five animals on a rural property outside Forest Grove, Oregon. The victims included his girlfriend, Stella Kimsey, her mother, Rowan Kimsey, her grandmother, Mary Kimsey, and two friends, Linsey Mae Haraldsen and Alvin Raymond Chu. Investigators determined that Parker and Kimsey had engaged in a fight on Friday night, which led to a series of premeditated murders. After the killings, Parker set several fires on the property and fled in a truck. He eventually turned his phone back on in Washington state and confessed to his mother that he had planned the crime. Parker was later found in a truck in Enumclaw, Washington, where he had shot himself in the head. District Attorney Kevin Barton noted that domestic violence accounts for a major portion of local homicide cases, highlighting the common issue of violence in the home. The Kimsey family expressed gratitude for the community's help in rehoming the farm animals.
