Supermarket Manager Luis Cruz Saves Child from Oncoming Traffic in Mexico

Luis Cruz, a manager at the Super Rey del Ahorro supermarket, was honored for his quick actions after saving a child from oncoming traffic in Puebla, Mexico. Security footage captured the moment the child ran toward a busy road while being chased by two adults. One of the adults stumbled while Luis Cruz reached the child, rolled with the toddler to the side of the street, and safely handed the child back to the adults. For his heroism, Luis Cruz was awarded 20,000 pesos, which is approximately $1,180. He was also named the supermarket's Manager of the Year. The incident was captured on security video, which has since been taken to the world's attention.
