Walmart has recalled more than 3,000 Marketside Tomato Bisque soup kits sold in 29 states. The recall was initiated following a potential listeria contamination, according to an announcement by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Kettle Cuisine, the manufacturer of the soup kits, reported no confirmed cases of illness linked to the product. The recalled items were distributed between June 30 and July 7. Consumers should check for products packaged in a wrapped tray with a best-by or use-by date of Aug. 22. Listeria monocytogenes contamination can cause infections that primarily affect older adults, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of the infection may include fever, and muscle aches. The recall covers products sold exclusively at Walmart stores.
