Iryna Terekh confirms Ukraine's first domestically produced ballistic missile will enter combat within weeks

Iryna Terekh, CEO of Fire Point, stated that Ukraine's first domestically designed and manufactured ballistic missile, the FP-7, is expected to enter combat deployment within weeks. The missile can reach targets up to 200 kilometers away and carry a warhead weighing up to 150 kilograms. It has successfully completed two of the three required testing stages. Fire Point is one of Ukraine's largest defense contractors, producing 300 to 400 long-range strike drones per day. The company also produces the FP-1 strike drone, which has accounted for the largest share of successfully completed combat missions since the beginning of 2026. The FP-1 is capable of covering a distance of 3,400 kilometers. Terekh also noted that Ukraine has conducted twice as many long-range strikes on Russian territory as Russia has conducted against Ukraine in 2026. Approximately 60% of these Ukrainian attacks were carried out using Fire Point weapons. Additionally, the company is currently flight-testing the FP-9, a longer-range ballistic missile with a range of over 800 kilometers.
