A burglary suspect in a black Honda sedan led the Los Angeles Police Department on a high-speed chase across the San Fernando Valley on Friday morning. The pursuit began in the North Hollywood area around 10:15 a.m. and spanned several neighborhoods, including North Hills, Van Nuys, and Granada Hills. During the chase, the suspect engaged in several unusual maneuvers, including stopping for gas, navigating through a parking structure at Cal State Northridge, and even interacting with a voice-off motorcycle rider. The pursuit reached a dramatic conclusion on the 405 Freeway at Nordhoff Street in North Hills. The suspect drove the wrong way in the southbound lanes and crashed head-on into a California Highway Patrol SUV. After ditching the vehicle, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly tackled by officers and taken into custody. Police reported that the chase originated from a residential burglary in the Chatsworth area. Three people were arrested in connection with the alleged burglary by early Saturday.
