Dawn Light Pleads Not Guilty to Charge of Intimidating Jurors in Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial

Dawn Light was arraigned on Wednesday in Plymouth District Court on a charge of aggravated intimidation of a juror, witness, police, or court official. The 56-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday after she was found in a restricted area outside the courthouse filming jurors as they exited the building. Prosecutors stated that while Light claimed she was not filming the jury and was instead waiting to see Lindsay Clancy, police discovered videos of the jurors in her phone's deleted folder. Judge William Sullivan, who is presiding over the Clancy case, had issued a specific order prohibiting the photographing or filming of jurors. Assistant District Attorney Nicole Piacentini argued that Light's actions put the sanctity of the judicial system at risk. Light's attorney, Jennifer White, argued that the incident was a misunderstanding and that Light was not a flight risk. The judge released Light on personal recognizance, ordering her to stay away from the courthouse grounds, avoid contact with jurors or witnesses in the Clancy trial, and refrain from disseminating any photos or videos she took. Light is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 15 for a pretrial hearing.
