U.S. Marshals Arrest Zymire Hughes in Las Vegas for Harassing and Terrorizing Philadelphians

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 22-year-old Zymire Hughes in Las Vegas on Tuesday to resolve a series of incidents where he allegedly harassed and terrorized more than a dozen people in Philadelphia. Hughes was spotted in Center City wearing a distinctive Chucky-style Halloween mask, where he reportedly chased and threatened several pedestrians, including a woman who was allegedly injured during a chase. Investigators determined that Hughes fled the Philadelphia area on August 19, following a period of several weeks in the city. He was tracked by the U.S. Marshals Service after his photo was released to the public. Hughes is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center and awaits extradition back to Pennsylvania. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment. Philadelphia officials have urged any other victims who may have been accosted by the masked man to come forward and provide their accounts.
