Coca-Cola pauses U.S. production for its Fairlife milk brand following a ransomware cyberattack.

Coca-Cola has temporarily suspended production operations for its Fairlife milk brand across the United States following a ransomware cyberattack. The beverage giant reported that an unauthorized third party gained access to a portion of the systems, specifically those related to production. While the full scope of the breach is still being investigated, Coca-Cola confirmed that product quality and safety remain unaffected. The company is currently working with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to restore the systems. Notably, Fairlife’s operations in Canada continue to run normally despite the U.S. disruption. Fairlife, which produces a variety of lactose-free products including milk and protein shakes, generates over $3 billion in annual retail sales. The brand was acquired by Coca-Cola in 2020 for approximately $7 billion. As cyberattacks become increasingly common across various sectors, the company aims to resolve the issue quickly to minimize the impact on shoppers who rely on the brand for daily needs.
