John Bridges is a suspect in the homicide of both his first wife, Joyce Bridges, and his second wife, Astrid Bridges.
John Bridges is now a primary suspect in two separate homicide cases spanning over two decades and nearly 2,000 miles. In 1972, his first wife, Joyce Bridges, was found unresponsive in their Louisville, Kentucky, home. While her death was considered an accident for decades, a 2015 exhumation and new autopsy revealed it was a homicide. In 1993, his second wife, Astrid Bridges, died at their home in Oregon. Her death was also initially ruled an accident, but recent forensic reviews by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office reclassified it as a homicide. Authorities in Oregon have served a search warrant on the 86-year-old John Bridges, who currently resides in Missouri. While no formal charges have been announced yet, police in both Kentucky and Oregon continue to active investigations. Detectives are seeking new information from anyone familiar with the Bridges family history.
