General Mills has issued a voluntary recall of more than 735,000 Pillsbury bread rolls because the products may contain pieces of glass. The recall, which began on June 19, affects two specific frozen dough varieties: 3,080 cases of "Hard Roll Dough" and 1,260 cases of "Kaiser Roll Dough." These products were distributed to Walmart in-store bakeries across 19 states, including California, Florida, and Texas. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II, indicating that while the products may cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences, the probability of serious adverse effects is remote. Because these dough products are marketed for "back-of-house" use, they are primarily intended for commercial kitchens, restaurants, and cafeterias rather than individual grocery shelves. General Mills stated that the recall is limited in scope and that all impacted products have been removed from circulation. Foodservice operators are advised to check their inventory against the specific lot numbers and "Better if Used by" dates, which fall in October 2026.
