Elizabeth Waddell remains missing after disappearing during a swim at Grand Anse Beach in Grenada
Elizabeth Waddell, a 44-year-old physical therapist from Cary, North Carolina, remains missing after disappearing while vacationing in Grenada. She was last seen on July 22 near Grand Anse Beach in St. George’s, where she entered the water at 11:51 a.m. Surveillance footage from a nearby bar and grill shows her swimming and floating until she drifted out of view. Her traveling companion, who reported her missing at 5:50 p.m. that same day, noted that Elizabeth Waddell had left for a swim without her phone, making the search more difficult. Acting Commissioner of Police Randy Connaught stated that the Royal Grenada Police Force continues to treat the situation as an active missing person investigation. While witnesses reported seeing her in the open water, divers have been searching the southern coastline for several days. Her husband, Cailen Waddell, and their daughter have traveled to the island to assist with the search. Family and friends are currently reviewing her online search history to help narrow down the search area.
