Prosecutors presented graphic evidence during a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles, revealing that Burke allegedly killed Rivas Hernandez after she threatened to expose their illegal sexual relationship and ruin his multi-million-dollar music career. The prosecution alleges that Burke stabbed Rivas Hernandez to death in April 2025 and subsequently used chainsaws to dismember her body in a blue inflatable pool to conceal the crime. Her remains were eventually discovered in an advanced state of decomposition inside the trunk of his Tesla in September 2025.
