Manufacturing startup Hadrian closes $1.37 billion funding round at a $7.87 billion valuation to expand domestic defense production.
Manufacturing startup Hadrian closed a new round of equity financing totaling $1.37 billion, bringing the company's valuation to $7.87 billion. The funding round was co-led by WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures, and Baillie Gifford, with JPMorganChase's Strategic Investment Group also serving as an anchor co-lead. This capital will be used to scale the company's workforce, its Opus software platform, and its automated manufacturing facilities. Chris Power, the founder and CEO of Hadrian, stated that production is now the frontline of deterrence. The company's 'Factories-as-a-Service' model allows for rapid scaling across munitions, shipbuilding, and other high-priority programs. This growth is fueled by President Trump's push to reindustrialize the U.S. military and scale a robust manufacturing base. Hadrian currently operates four facilities covering just under 3 million square feet, with additional sites in development across the country to meet the demand for trusted U.S. manufacturing capacity.
