Army Pvt. Isabella Gonzales was among two U.S. service members killed during a recent Iranian strike on a military air base in Jordan.

Army Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, a 19-year-old from North Texas, was killed during an Iranian strike on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. She was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment. Her death occurred alongside that of 25-year-old 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan. The Pentagon reported that 18 U.S. service members have died in the Iran War since initial strikes began in late February. Of these, 10 were killed in hostile action. The administration announced that the military is currently carrying out another round of strikes against Iranian military sites. While the administration continues to evaluate the next steps of the conflict, President Trump noted that the nation should honor the patriots fighting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. He warned that Iran will "pay many times over" for every American killed. State leaders and political candidates have also honored Gonzales, citing her courage and sacrifice as a representative of the best of Texas.
