President Trump says Iran is becoming more serious in negotiations as the administration continues its intensive military campaign against Tehran.

President Trump stated that Iran is showing increased seriousness in ongoing negotiations, though he noted that Tehran is not yet ready to finalize a deal. The administration announced that while the U.S. is actively negotiating, the military may continue its current bombing campaign or potentially escalate it further. President Trump described the war as going "extremely well," noting that the U.S. has hit Iran hard and diminished its naval and air force capabilities. The military campaign has seen U.S. Central Command conduct 13 consecutive nights of strikes on Iranian targets. In response, Iran launched retaliatory drone and missile strikes against U.S. bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait. While the U.S. military has disabled a tanker in the Gulf of Oman to maintain its naval blockade, Iran warned civilians to stay clear of U.S. bases to avoid potential damage. President Trump also noted that any damages to ships struck by Iran will be paid for using Iranian assets currently held by the United States.
