Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky has ordered a nationwide inspection of all shelters in Ukraine to ensure they are properly maintained and accessible to the public. The order aims to the address systemic neglect by custodians and ensure that protective structures are functional during air-raid warnings. In the Lviv region, Andriy Hodyk, the first deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, announced that special commissions will conduct inspections to check technical and sanitary conditions. These inspections are scheduled to be completed by October 1. Additionally, the Kyiv Metro dismissed social media reports that people were barred from entering stations during a recent Russian attack. The Kyiv Metro confirmed that all 46 underground stations were open as shelters, though some restricted areas were intended for safety. The administration announced that citizens should arrive at shelters before passenger service stops to ensure smooth access during alerts.
