President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of committing a barbaric war crime after a video revealed a Russian military drone stalking a civilian vegetable vendor in Kherson. The 52-year-old man, identified as Yuriy, was nearly struck by the drone as it hovered near him and then exploded beside his stall. Yuriy survived the attack with shrapnel wounds and a concussion, despite the drone zeroing in on him as he moved behind a minibus. Zelenskyy argued that the incident highlights Russia's systematic campaign of targeting civilians, a practice Ukraine has dubbed "human safaris." The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, supported the claim, calling the attack a war crime and demanding international intervention. The Ukraine Prosecutor General's Office reported that authorities have opened over 5,000 criminal cases regarding drone attacks on civilian targets in the Kherson region, which have killed 287 civilians and wounded 2,549 others. Zelenskyy called for global cooperation to end Russia's war and prevent its campaign against human life from spreading further.
