Cailen Waddell stated on Wednesday that he believes there was no foul play involved in the disappearance of his wife, Elizabeth Waddell, who went missing while vacationing in Grenada. The 44-year-old North Carolina woman was last seen swimming in the ocean near Grand Anse Beach on July 22. According to Cailen Waddell, the investigation will focus on tracing her movements between the time she was last seen on surveillance video and her final sighting by witnesses. Surveillance footage shows Elizabeth Waddell walking toward a beachside pier and swimming beneath it around noon. She was later spotted by witnesses at approximately 5:30 p.m. further from the shore. The family has shared photos and video of Elizabeth Waddell to help the search. Grenadian authorities have asked residents and boat operators along the southern coastline to report any sightings. The U.S. State Department is aware of the disappearance.
