Sonam Wangchuk is forcibly moved to a hospital after a 20-day hunger strike protesting India's education system.

Sonam Wangchuk was removed from a protest site in New Delhi and taken to Safdarjung Hospital on Saturday following a 20-day hunger strike. The 59-year-old activist, known for his work in Himalayan water conservation, has been protesting against the nation's education system and the mismanagement of national examinations. The protest is led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a movement that emerged after a Supreme Court justice compared unemployed youth to "cockroaches." The CJP is demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and an overhaul of the examination system following a major paper leak that forced 2.2 million students to retake a medical entrance exam. While the administration has yet to engage directly with the protesters, the High Court ordered the move to the hospital to ensure Wangchuk received essential medical care. Despite his frailty, Wangchuk remains committed to the cause, and the CJP plans to march on parliament this Monday.
