Jeremiah Shawn Duffey killed his wife Sara Gilson in an apparent murder-suicide less than two weeks after she accused him of being a pedophile.

Jeremiah Shawn Duffey shot and killed his estranged wife, Sara Gilson, before turning the gun on himself in Owasso, Oklahoma, on July 23. The incident occurred shortly after Gilson posted a TikTok video accusing Duffey of being a pedophile. The deaths follow a June 9 investigation where a parent and student reported that Duffey, a traveling youth basketball coach, allegedly inappropriately touched a juvenile player. Because Duffey is a member of the Osage tribe and the incident occurred on tribal land, the case was referred to the U.S. Attorney’s Office under the Federal Major Crimes Act. Following the report, Gilson obtained an emergency protective order requiring Duffey to stay 100 yards away from her. The order was granted on June 10. Police responded to the scene after a 911 call reported a gunshot and a woman screaming. Officers found both Gilson and Duffey dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Investigators believe the case is a murder-suicide.
