Iran Launches Strikes on U.S. Military Assets in Kuwait and Bahrain Amid Resumed Hostilities
Iran has launched a series of drone and missile strikes targeting strategic U.S. military assets in Kuwait and Bahrain. During the conflict, President Trump indicated that he would like Congress to add tariffs on Iran to a bipartisan sanctions bill against Russia and Tehran. While these duties would have little effect on U.S. imports from Iran, the administration announced that the goal is to hinder the chances of the bill becoming law. Meanwhile, Kuwait has denied that the U.S. launched offensive operations from its territory, describing Iran's actions as "criminal aggression."
