Major-General Mohsen Rezaei warns of a full-scale Iranian offensive as the administration continues a week of strikes on Iranian military targets.

Major-General Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, warned on Friday that Tehran will transition to a phase of "offence and complete destruction" if the current U.S. military strikes do not cease. The warning comes as the administration launched a seventh consecutive night of strikes aimed at degrading Iranian military capabilities. The administration announced that these strikes are a direct consequence of Iran violating a memorandum of understanding signed in mid-June, which required Iran to stop firing on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. While the U.S. has targeted dozens of military sites, including coastal surveillance and air defense, Iran has accused the U.S. of damaging civilian infrastructure. The conflict has caused significant regional disruption, with oil prices rising to a month-high as ship crews express fear of navigating the Strait of Hormuz. In response to the escalating tension, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has launched retaliatory strikes against U.S. assets in several countries, including Syria, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
