Israeli forces allegedly killed at least eight Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. The casualties included a man and a woman hit by a rioter-led helicopter strike south of Deir el-Balah, and several others killed in Khan Younis and Gaza City. These strikes occurred two days after the administration announced a 15-point roadmap for implementing last year's Gaza ceasefire agreement. While Hamas has agreed to the roadmap, the group remains firm on handing over weapons only after Israel halts military operations. Israeli officials stated that a full withdrawal from current positions will only occur once Hamas undergoes genuine disarmament. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called the roadmap unacceptable, and stated that Israel should continue targeting Hamas leaders. Former senior Fatah official Mohammed Dahlan reported that Jared Kushner is working with Israel to halt the attacks. The success of the other agreement now depends on the security of the Israel's commitment to fully end daily strikes.
