Benjamin Netanyahu and Yisrael Katz announced that Israeli forces utilized approximately 700 tons of explosives to destroy a tunnel system in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon. The operation aimed to dismantle Hezbollah's underground infrastructure, which Israel claims was a central part of the group's plan to infiltrate communities in the Galilee. These detonations occurred despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement, following what Israel described as a flagrant violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah. The administration announced that the IDF will remain in the security zone to continue destroying terrorist infrastructure and prevent Hezbollah from the group from restoring its capabilities. The explosions were powerful enough to shatter windows in nearby towns, and the IDF reported that the infrastructure had launched dozens of UAVs, explosive devices, and anti-tank missiles toward Israeli civilians and soldiers. Israeli forces have advanced more than 10km into Lebanese territory since March 2, with 4,333 people allegedly killed by Israeli forces in the region.
