JD Vance will soon become a resident of Loudoun County after leasing two of the four residences at Wolver Hill Farm. The nearly 500-acre estate, located on the outskirts of Middleburg, was acquired by Wolver Hill LLC for $8.5 million in 2020. The property is owned by Charles Kuhn, the founder of JK Moving Services, a company that has moved several presidents into and out of the White House, including President Trump. The Vances intend to use the farm to provide their growing family with a sense of normalcy away from the scrutiny of Washington. While the family will maintain their official residence at the Naval Observatory, JD Vance plans to pay fair market value for the lease to comply with federal ethics rules. Some local residents have expressed frustration over the impending arrival, citing concerns regarding road closures and Secret Service activity. The move places the vice president in a wealthy enclave known for its horse and hunt culture, joining other notable figures who have established retreats in the area.
