A 15-year-old girl was shot and remains in stable condition following a shooting on the near north side of Indianapolis.
A 15-year-old girl was shot on the near north side of Indianapolis on Saturday night, July 25. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 1700 block of North Delaware Street around 11:42 p.m. to find the victim, who was transported to the hospital. Sunday, police confirmed the girl is in stable condition. This incident is not the first time shots have been fired at the property. Police reports indicate that a previous shooting occurred at the same location on December 21, 2025, which was investigated as a case of vandalism and reckless use of a handgun and rifle. The current shooting occurred near East 17th Street. The previous December incident was located near East 16th and North Meridian streets. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues to be the primary reporting agency for the local incident.
