Two-year-old Aryana Trevino Martinez found dead in San Antonio creek after wandering away from home.
San Antonio police reported that 2-year-old Aryana Trevino Martinez was found dead early Monday morning after wandering away from her home on Sunday evening. The child was the subject of an AMBER Alert issued late Sunday night after her relatives reported her missing from the 4700 block of Allegheny Drive. Officers discovered Aryana Trevino Martinez unresponsive in an overgrown, water-filled creek area near the Belle Ellen area, approximately 500 yards from where she was last seen. Surveillance footage captured the child walking alone in an alley before she was found. While the cause of death remains under investigation, authorities are currently seeking additional surveillance video from residents to determine her final movements. The AMBER Alert was officially canceled by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the San Antonio Police Department around 3 a.m. Monday. A community vigil to honor the child will be held on Tuesday evening.
