Michael Saylor's Strategy Inc. Strengthens Balance Sheet with Bitcoin Holdings and Cash Reserves
Strategy Inc. reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results, highlighting a strengthened balance sheet despite a decline in bitcoin prices. The company, which serves as the world's first Bitcoin Treasury Company, grew its bitcoin holdings by 11% to 846,000 bitcoin while reducing convertible debt by 18% to $6.7 billion. Michael Saylor, the Founder and Executive Chairman, stated that the company aims to return its shares to health by establishing Digital Credit as a new asset class. To bolster its reserves, the company sold approximately $218.4 million of bitcoin year to date to fund preferred stock dividends. Recent disclosures also show the company sold 1,638 bitcoin last week at an average price of $63,957, raising its cash reserves to $4 billion. The company's USD Reserve currently stands at $3.75 billion, providing enough coverage for preferred dividend payments and interest obligations for more than 2.1 years. Strategy Inc. continues to pursue financial innovation by acquiring bitcoin in a manner it believes is accretive to common stockholders.
