Jianquan Bo is accused of helping kidnap and place the body of Shukur Aikebaer in a car trunk during a kidnapping-murder case.
Prosecutors are expected to release new details on Monday regarding the kidnapping and killing of Shukhur Aikebaer. Jianquan Bo, a 66-year-old from Irvine, is accused of assisting his relative, Zhengfeng Bo, in kidnapping the 60-year-old victim and placing his body in a car trunk. The incident occurred after Aikebaer was allegedly shot and kidnapped by Zhengfeng Bo, who led deputies on a short pursuit before being shot and killed by authorities. Investigators are currently exploring whether the victim's power was intentionally turned off as a ruse to lure him outside. The two men were business partners who shared roles in at least two LLCs. Zhengfeng Bo's attorney stated that the dispute involved a $20 million apartment complex in Pasadena. The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office is scheduled to hold a news conference on Monday to provide further information on the investigation.
