Gavin Verhey and Eric Engelhard Introduce Mystery Booster Commander Edition to Magic: The Gathering

Lead Designers Gavin Verhey and Eric Engelhard have unveiled the Mystery Booster Commander Edition, a new release designed specifically for the Commander Draft format. The release features over 2,000 cards from Magic's history, including new-to-Magic cards, special reprints with the Planeswalker stamp, and 134 cards featuring the nostalgic Future Sight frame. The set is designed to provide a chaotic and diverse experience, featuring 60 new cards with wild abilities and 10 cards from the digital realm with the acorn stamp. It also includes 121 playtest cards that are not legal in constructed formats but are playable in Draft and Sealed. One of the most notable additions is Ashaya's Enduring Bond, the first legendary sorcery to serve as a commander. This card allows players to cast a spell for free using the Discover mechanic, with the mana spent determining the value of the card pulled from the library. The Mystery Booster Commander Edition will be available at MagicCon: Atlanta and through Festival in a Box on the Secret Lair website.
