While powerful winds and rain caused flash flooding and downed trees in Sussex County, property damage remained minimal. Residents reported that high winds and heavy rain made visibility difficult, though many were able to find shelter in time. In South Jersey, the EF-0 tornado in Cape May caused a narrow path of tree damage before dissipating. Meanwhile, the administration of the National Weather Service issued several warnings for the tri-state area, including flash flood alerts for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties. Officials noted that while flying debris and wind posed risks to mobile homes and vehicles, the majority of the damage was confined to trees and powerlines.
