Approximately 157 residents are being relocated from Aviata at Bradenton Villas following a significant structural collapse that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The collapse at the assisted living facility was caused by extensive water and termite damage, though no injuries were reported during the incident. Manatee County Public Safety and Emergency Medical Services, in coordination with the Bradenton Fire Department and the City of Bradenton, are leading the evacuation efforts. Regional partners from Hillsborough and Pinellas counties have provided additional transportation resources, including ambulances and accessible transit vehicles, to ensure residents are moved safely to other regional facilities. Manatee County Commissioner Amanda Ballard stated that the priority is ensuring every resident is safely relocated and cared for during this disruptive situation.
