Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet President Trump in Washington to discuss global conflicts.
Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelenskyy are scheduled to arrive in Washington to meet with President Trump during the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. The meetings are expected to provide both leaders a chance to push their respective agendas regarding the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Iran. The administration announced that the meetings will occur as U.S. policy toward these wars remains in a state of flux. For Netanyahu, the meeting is an opportunity to discuss Israel's security, the Iran war, and the trilateral framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon. For Zelenskyy, the visit comes as the administration shows increased support for Kyiv's position in the war against Russia. Trump said the two leaders are relatively aligned on the Iran war, despite some differences in opinion. The late Senator Graham was a close ally of both leaders and died after a recent trip to Ukraine to meet with Zelenskyy. The funeral services will take place on Tuesday at the Washington National Cathedral.
