Authorities in Grenada are searching for Elizabeth Waddell, a Cary woman who went missing while swimming at Grand Anse Beach.
Elizabeth Waddell, a 44-year-old founder of Art of Movement Physical Therapy, was reported missing on Wednesday after she went for a swim near the pier at Grand Anse Beach in St. George’s. Her husband, Cailen Waddell, a Town of Cary employee, shared a missing person alert on Facebook to help locate her. The Royal Grenada Police Force is currently coordinating the search, contacting fishermen, boat operators, and residents along the southern coastline. Cailen Waddell praised the local authorities for their communicative efforts during the ongoing investigation. The administration announced that the State Department is aware of the missing American and is ready to assist the family with filing reports and navigating local procedures. Family friends described Elizabeth Waddell as an adventurous and free-spirited person who possessed a unique ability to connect with others. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact the St. George Police Station or the Criminal Investigation Department.
