Rand Paul Releases Anthony Fauci's Diary, Revealing Private Insights and Public Criticisms During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Republican Senator Rand Paul released over 1,100 pages of Anthony Fauci's personal diary, documenting his role as the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic. The diary entries, obtained by subpoena, highlight a contrast between Fauci's private thoughts and public statements, particularly regarding the virus's origin and his own health. During a recent Senate hearing, Paul accused Fauci of being dishonest about the virus's natural origin, citing a diary entry where Fauci noted the wet market was an "amplifier" rather than the source. However, Fauci maintained that he consistently supported a natural origin. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also criticized Fauci for not being transparent about his own health, noting that Fauci suffered a pulmonary infarction after receiving the vaccine. Additionally, the diary revealed a friendly relationship between Fauci and Katie Miller, who initially sought his advice but later became a vocal critic, claiming he was self-centered and sought to promote himself.
