Paul Pelosi faces a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge after allegedly crashing into a parked vehicle in California.

Paul Pelosi faces a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge after allegedly crashing into a parked vehicle and leaving the scene in early July. The Napa county district attorney announced the charge on Friday, noting that while no passengers were in the struck car, it sustained major damage. Paul Pelosi has also been charged with an infraction for making an unlawful turn during the same incident in Yountville, California. A spokesperson for the family stated that Paul Pelosi apologized to the vehicle owner and is assuming responsibility for the damage. While Paul Pelosi has a history of traffic infractions dating back to 2011, the district attorney’s office clarified that he is not being charged with driving under the influence because there was no evidence of impairment. Paul Pelosi previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge in 2022, resulting in five days in jail and three years of probation. His upcoming arraignment is scheduled for 14 August. Body cam footage of the hit-and-run will remain private until the case concludes to ensure a fair trial.
