Round Rock Police Officer Dillon Rizzo Shot and Killed Suspect Reece Ababao During Domestic Violence Incident
A Round Rock police officer shot and killed a 20-year-old suspect during a domestic violence incident on Tuesday morning. Round Rock Police Officer Dillon Rizzo fired his weapon at Reece Ababao, who was armed with a knife, after Ababao's mother escaped the home and called for help from a neighbor's house. Upon arriving at the 2800 block of Phoenix Way, officers heard a man calling for help from inside the home. They forced entry and encountered Ababao, who was subsequently shot and pronounced dead at the hospital. Two other victims, identified as the parents of Reece Ababao, were also taken to the hospital with critical stab wounds. The Round Rock Police Department has placed Officer Dillon Rizzo on administrative leave as standard procedure. The Texas Rangers and the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office are assisting with the investigation. Authorities confirmed there was no ongoing threat to the public during the incident.
