During a Sunday Angelus in Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV reflected on parables involving wheat and weeds, the mustard seed, and yeast. He explained that God often chooses "smallness" as a sign of discreet love, acting invisibly rather than imposing Himself by force. The Pope warned that while many people expect God to immediately eliminate evil, the Kingdom of God actually spreads even amidst the presence of weeds. He encouraged believers to adopt a Gospel-centered approach that avoids arrogance and the use of power to dominate others.
