Governor Alexander Brechalov reported that Ukrainian drones conducted one of the most massive attacks in recent times on Russia's Udmurt Republic on July 27. The strikes targeted oil facilities and other regions, including the Yaroslavl region, as part of a strategy to reduce Russia's ability to finance the war. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that these long-range strikes were intended as a form of "long-range sanctions" to impact Russia's economy. While the Udmurt Republic saw no reported injuries, the Yaroslavl region suffered minor damage to homes and vehicles. Russia's Defense Ministry reported that air defenses shot down 276 Ukrainian drones overnight. Other strikes in Rostov-on-Don and Belgorod resulted in several casualties and injuries. The company Wildberries evacuated employees from its Sarapul sorting center as a safety precaution, though no direct strikes were reported on the facilities.
