Volodymyr Zelensky Brands Russian Missile Strike on Voronov Family a Horrific Crime
President Volodymyr Zelensky described a Russian ballistic missile strike on the Voronov family home as a "horrific crime," following the destruction of the residence in Radushne. The strike, which occurred during a massive overnight assault involving over 70 missiles and 280 drones, decimated the home and killed at least six members of the family, including parents Artem and Olena and four of their children. While four other family members remain missing, officials noted that the family dog, Rocky, survived the blast. Zelenskyy stated that the strike utilized a North Korean ballistic missile for the first time in a while, highlighting the growing partnership between Russia and North Korea. The Ukrainian leader urged Western allies to provide more Patriot interceptor missiles to counter Russia's high-speed ballistic weapons. The administration announced that the strike was part of a broader offensive, while Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported a Russian missile likely breached NATO airspace to create a 10-meter crater in eastern Poland. Zelenskyy emphasized that the protection of people's lives depends on the willingness of partners to provide these critical air defense capabilities.
