Russian military units are facing a worsening fuel crisis that is beginning to hinder operations in Ukraine. According to reports from the independent outlet Verstka, Russian troops are experiencing reduced gasoline and diesel deliveries, strict refueling limits, and growing difficulty supplying frontline positions. The shortage follows sustained Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries and infrastructure. Some soldiers reported that vehicles previously supplied based on operational needs are now limited to no more than 20 liters per day. In some instances, troops have been forced to abandon functional equipment, such as a T-72 tank, simply because it ran out of fuel. The crisis affects both combat vehicles and the trucks used to transport ammunition and food. Soldiers noted that fuel is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to obtain privately, with some units forced to walk long distances to transport necessities. Pro-war volunteer Anastasia Komarova criticized the situation, questioning how the "special military operation" can continue while the front is deprived of such a basic resource.
