Saudi Arabia reported on Monday that it intercepted drones launched from Iraq that targeted oil facilities in its eastern province and Riyadh. The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that the country reserves the right to respond to the attacks, which were attributed to Iran-backed armed groups. While the United States and Iran have entered a period of the lull in hostilities, these drone strikes suggest that Tehran may be testing the new US stance. Meanwhile, Iraq's Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi stated that Iraq will not allow its territory to be used to launch attacks against neighboring countries. This follows a previous incident in May where Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates reported drones launched from Iraqi territory. Additionally, Yemen's Houthi rebels reported targeting Saudi crude oil transport infrastructure. In the same region, Jordan and Iraq reported further drone attacks, with Amman shooting down two drones. Iraqi security sources reported strikes on camps housing Iranian-Kurdish opposition fighters in the north.
