Trump Media & Technology Group plans to charge Wall Street firms up to $100,000 monthly for faster access to posts on Truth Social.
Trump Media & Technology Group is considering a new revenue stream by charging Wall Street traders and investment firms up to $100,000 per month for faster access to posts on its Truth Social platform. The company recently unveiled the "Truth API," a licensed data feed providing rapid access to the 10 most influential accounts on the platform. While the administration noted that the president's children oversee his business empire, the income flows directly into his trust. The move has drawn criticism from Democrats, who argue the arrangement allows the president to profit from his own influence. U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren called the plan an "egregious scheme" to enrich Wall Street while doing little for the average American. However, experts note that while the arrangement may be viewed as "wildly unethical" by some, it does not technically violate the Constitution's emoluments clauses. The Truth API will officially launch on August 1, offering high-frequency trading firms a competitive edge in a market where even milliseconds of speed can result in significant financial gains.
