President Trump is reviewing options to expand military operations against Iran as the administration prepares to deploy more aerial refuelling aircraft to Israel.
President Trump is evaluating several plans to expand military operations against Iran, including potential strikes on power plants, nuclear facilities, and the underground Pickaxe Mountain site. The administration announced plans to deploy dozens of additional aerial refuelling aircraft to Israel to support these long-range air operations. The United States currently operates approximately 30 refuelling aircraft from two Israeli airports. The administration has formally requested that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accommodate the new fleet, which would restore refuelling capacity to levels seen at the start of the current conflict. These developments follow five consecutive days of US strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure, including seven bridges near the port city of Bandar Abbas. While Iran has intensified attacks on US installations across the Middle East, the administration has yet to give final approval on the full escalation. The additional aircraft are expected to bolster military sustainability, though the deployment may impact civilian air traffic at Ben Gurion International Airport during the summer.
