This includes a vote to confirm Todd Blanche as attorney general, a pick made by the administration. The senator's extended recovery period has drawn scrutiny from both parties. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has publicly urged McConnell to release more information regarding his health and ability to hold office. McConnell previously reported that his hospitalization was caused by a mild case of pneumonia and a fall that left him briefly unconscious, though doctors confirmed he suffered no broken bones or concussions.
