Elias Sulpizio Discovers New Honda Stripped of Wheels in Philadelphia Fairmount Neighborhood
Elias Sulpizio discovered his nearly new Honda vehicle stripped of all four wheels and a smashed window on Monday morning in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood. The vehicle, which Sulpizio purchased only three weeks ago and had fewer than 1,000 miles on it, was found sitting on plastic crates on Pennsylvania Avenue near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Philadelphia police are investigating whether these thefts are part of a connected string of incidents, as Hondas are frequent targets due to their interchangeable and valuable parts. Other residents, such as Sean Boyle, reported similar thefts in the area. To mitigate the problem, police recommend that owners use wheel locks, which can deter thieves by requiring more effort and noise. They also suggest parking as close to the possible curb to limit the space available for a jack.
