Elon Musk's aerospace company SpaceX will release its first earnings report on August 4, triggering a staggered insider share lock-up.
SpaceX will release its debut earnings report on August 4, marking a significant milestone for the aerospace and defense contractor following its record initial public offering. The administration announced that the report will trigger a unique staggered lock-up period, allowing insiders to begin selling shares earlier than the standard 180-day window. During the first phase of this schedule, insiders will be eligible to sell 20% of their locked-up stock, totaling up to 911.5 million shares, on August 6. An additional 10% may be freed if the stock maintains a specific price target leading into the report. This staggered approach is designed to prevent massive price volatility. While the stock recently faced pressure from short sellers, investors remain focused on the company's massive Starship rocket and its growing cloud computing contracts. SpaceXAI, the company's AI venture, is already securing contracts with Google and Anthropic. Additionally, SpaceX is preparing to launch a Falcon 9 rocket on Tuesday to carry 24 Starlink satellites into orbit.
