The group threw rocks and spat at the monastery's entrance, which the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine condemned as a new provocation targeting Christian holy sites. Israel Police announced that six suspects were arrested following the incident. The group included five minors and one adult. One of the suspects was an Armenian woman who was also targeted by the user-s. The Armenian Patriarchate filed a formal complaint regarding the attack. Three of the suspects were released under restrictive conditions, including a 15-day ban from the Old City. The remaining three were brought to the Magistrate Court, where police requested an detention extension. The attack occurred while Israel's military offensive in the Gaza Strip continues, where 18 Palestinians were allegedly killed by Israeli forces.
