San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department investigators identified 67-year-old Zhengfeng Bo as the gunman who killed 60-year-old Shukur Aikebaer after a kidnapping in Chino Hills. The incident began Wednesday night when Aikebaer was outside his home on Monteverde Drive to inspect an electrical panel. Two men allegedly shot and kidnapped him, placing him in the trunk of a Nissan Altima. Deputies responded to shots fired and a subsequent two-mile pursuit that ended on Wandering Ridge Drive. Surveillance footage shows the passenger, Jianquan Bo, surrendering while the driver, Zhengfeng Bo, opened the trunk and shot Aikebaer. Deputies then opened fire, killing Zhengfeng Bo at the scene. Investigators confirmed that Zhengfeng Bo and Shukur Aikebaer knew each other through a previous work relationship. While Jianquan Bo remains in custody, authorities are still working to determine a specific motive for the crime. The family of Shukur Aikebaer expressed shock at the sudden events, noting that the victim was a beloved father and a blessing to those around him.
