Target is recalling over 200,000 Cat & Jack children's sandals due to a potential choking hazard caused by falling pearls.

Target is issuing a nationwide recall of 211,000 Cat & Jack-branded children's sandals sold between January 2020 and May 2026. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall after receiving 23 reports of plastic pearls falling off the shoes. While no injuries have been reported to date, the loose pearls pose a risk of serious injury or death from a choking hazard. The recalled sandals are tan and feature two raffia straps with gold buckles. They were sold in sizes 5T through 12T for approximately $20 to $22 at Target stores and online. The Minneapolis-based retailer imported the sandals from Cambodia. Consumers are urged to stop using the sandals immediately and keep them away from children. Target will provide a full refund for the defective items. Customers can return the sandals to any retail location or use a prepaid label to return them by mail.
